Regional Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Port Greening and Decarbonization

On 27 and 28 July, Ms Silalomanu Isaia, the Lead Green Port Ambassador at Apia Port, presented on the Green Port Journey that Apia Port has embarked upon.  The presentation focused on the approach that has been adopted to date, including:

• Setting the Green Port Vision

• Establishing a working group with key stakeholders

• Identifying a long list of Green Port Initiatives and then short-listing the priority initiatives

• And an update on how the port is progressing with the implementation of the first few initiatives.

From the presentation delivered, it is clear that small steps can lead to huge potential being realised.
