Green Port Ambassador Training 

Following the appointment and induction of the Samoa Ports Authority's first 'Green Port Ambassadors' in March 2023, further training was undertaken between 12 and 15 June 2023. This involved:

• A classroom session entitled "What does a Green port look like?"

• An on-site 'Environmental Inspection' of Apia Port (see below).

• Campaign planning.

In November 2023, the GPAs also received training on:

• Environmental Management.

• Waste Management (see video below).

• Energy Efficiency.

The intention is that this training will be rolled out by the GPAs to the rest of the port personnel.
